IN PERSON @ Cates Park/Whay-Ah-Wichen
This is an opportunity for Guiders and Guides to learn and practice basic camp skills: create a simple tarp shelter using the using the truckers hitch and taut line hitch, try different cooking methods such as a box oven and buddy burner and finally learn how to light, maintain and extinguish a fire safely.
The day is divided into two. One group of girls and leaders will attend in the morning (8:30 am to noon) and the other group in the afternoon (12:30 pm to 4:00 pm). You decide if the morning or the afternoon works best for your Unit although it may be that we have to juggle some groups around to keep AM and PM numbers even. Register early to get the times you want.
