The Cedar Shadows District includes the area east of Lonsdale, including Upper Lonsdale, Central Lonsdale and Lower Lonsdale. We head east and south of the highway. The elementary schools in our area include: Ridgeway, Brooksbank, Eastview, Queensbury and Carisbrooke.
The Guiding Year of 2025/2026 has 11 units in our District, which includes Sparks (1), Embers (3), Guides (3), Pathfinders (2), and Rangers (2) with approximately 180 youth. Our units meet at Brooksbank Elementary School, The Haven on Queensbury and Silver Harbor Seniors Centre off Lonsdale.
We celebrate our District with a weekend at Camp Olave in May, where we have all the units attend for the weekend and the Sparks join us for a day trip. It’s lots of fun to have all the youth and leaders in one place for a get together.
